How long does it take to get a container?

We can usually get a container out to our customers within 24 hours of ordering. Certain application, such as weekends or requiring a specific truck for delivery, may require a longer lead time.

How much does it cost for a container?

There are many variables we use when pricing a container for use. Size, location, and material determine a large part of the pricing process. Larger containers hold more material and have a larger landfill fee. Distance from our shop is also a primary factor due to time it takes to deliver and dump the can. Last but not least, material is another concern. Obviously we will not charge the same amount if someone is throwing away paper as opposed to brick. Please contact our sales staff for a free price quote on your project.

Someone else is dumping their garbage into my can. What can I do?

First, you can report it to your local law enforcement. Dumping trash on someone else’s property is illegal and punishable by law. Second, you may contact us and we can install a locking system on your container. There are essentially 3 different styles of locking systems with a small one-time charge for labor and materials.

What are your hours of business?

Our business hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 Monday thru Thursday and 8:00 am to 4:30 pm on Fridays.

What materials are NOT allowed in your dumpsters?

There are several rules and regulations Black Hawk County imposes on the materials going into the landfill, too many to list. Some of the items they penalize for or refuse are appliances, tires, batteries, yard waste, hazardous waste, and liquids. If you have items you are unsure if the landfill will take, please contact us prior to putting it in the can and we can give you a definite answer. Some materials we are able to take to other facilities to be recycled.

My pick up day is the same day as a holiday, when will I get picked up?

This situation is a little tricky as it will vary on many factors.  We will try to make this  as easy as possible to understand with minimal confusion:

RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS, if the Holiday lands on a…..

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday….You will be picked up the following day.
Friday….You will be picked up on Thursday (unless you are contracted through a city which may change this day to Saturday or Monday depending on City Contract rules).  Please contact us with any questions at 319-232-4150.

COMMERCIAL & INDUSTRIAL CUSTOMERS WILL BE PICKED UP THE DAY BEFORE OR DAY AFTER TIME PERMITTING.  When we run commercial routes and industrial routes, it is impossible to make them all up the following day so we try to run as much as we can in the days prior and pick up the remainder the following day.

***The City of Waterloo or some of our competitors run on Saturday sometimes which just isn’t feasible for our company.  Our routes are much larger then the others and the landfill closes at noon on Saturdays.  If you have any questions regarding your day of pick up, please call our dispatcher at 319-232-4150.
