Hours vary by position but are approximately 5:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. or 6:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Primary Responsibilities
Operates various types of solid waste collection trucks, mechanisms for loading, compressing, and dumping refuse and recycling material.
Drivers to designated areas to deliver, dump or pick up containers and refuse.
Requirements
- Must be willing to work Monday through Friday, and an occasionally a Saturday
- Able to recognize unacceptable waste (such as gasoline and other flammable, hazardous materials) and report it to the driver.
- Must have valid CDL class A or B driver's license.
- Must have and maintain valid medical card.
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds repeatedly during a shift.
- Physically capable of walking, jogging, bending, climbing, lifting, carrying heavy bags from curbside to the rear hopper of the truck.
- Sufficient stamina for steady work pace through an entire shift.
- Works outdoors in all weather conditions and wears appropriate clothing for the season.
- Must be willing to be on time and maintain a good working attendance.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.

In some cities and designated populated areas, we also offer a residential curbside recycling program. This program offers a container for cardboard, plastic, paper, tin and aluminum to be mixed in one container. We collect and haul this material to a recycling center. Commercial Service can be customized to fit almost any need. We provide both rear load and front load options to customize the refuse and recycling collection for any business, with sizes ranging from 65 gallon containers to 8 cubic yard containers.
We provide Roll Off dumpsters, also known as Open Tops, for any large projects requiring convenient, easy, and efficient refuse disposal, including: Construction, Remodels, Roofing, House Clean-outs, Industrial Waste, and any other project requiring bulk refuse removal.
Roll off containers come in 3 sizes: 12 cubic yard, 20yd, and 30yd and can be set up on a schedule or on-call services for each size.
We also offer Compactors and Balers for really large jobs and facilities that need to pack as much garbage or cardboard as possible. These units are usually installed in a permanent fashion.
