This position is essential for ensuring the timely and safe transportation of waste materials across Black Hawk County, Fayette County, Bremer County, and Buchanan County. Responsibilities

• Operate various types of straight trucks safely and efficiently.
• Transport waste materials to designated disposal sites in compliance with all regulations.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles to ensure safety and reliability.
• Load and unload materials as necessary, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.
• Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery schedules and minimize delays.
• Must be available to work Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts as needed
• Ability to identify unacceptable waste (e.g., gasoline, hazardous or flammable materials) and promptly report it to the driver
• Must hold a valid CDL Class A or B driver’s license
• Must possess and maintain a valid DOT medical card
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift
• Physically capable of performing duties such as walking, jogging, bending, climbing, and lifting heavy bags from curbside to the truck
• Sufficient stamina to maintain a steady work pace for the full duration of the shift
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and able to dress appropriately for the season
• Must demonstrate reliable attendance and a strong commitment to being on time
• Must be able to pass a drug screening

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) required.
• Proven 2 year minimum experience in commercial driving
• Strong understanding of safety regulations related to transportation.
• Good communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.

• Taking payments over the phone

• Communicating driver needs and finding solutions as they arise
