The recent storm knocked out our phone and internet service, and we understand how frustrating the communication delays have been. We apologize for the difficulties you may have experienced when trying to reach us.

We’re in the process of switching to a new phone system, but service has now been restored. For the time being, calls to our office will go directly to the operator, who will connect you with the right person or department.

Monday – Buchanan County and (Northern) Black Hawk County rural residential routes were delayed pickup until Tuesday 7/22

Tuesday – Bremer County rural residential routes will be picked up Wednesday, July 23.

Wednesday – Bremer County rural residential route will be picked up Thursday, July 24.

Thursday – Bremer County and Rural residential routes will be picked up Friday, July 25.

Friday – (Southern) Black Hawk County rural residential routes will be picked up Friday, July 25 & Saturday, July 26.

Trash collection for Gilbertville, Raymar, Washburn and surrounding rural addresses scheduled for pickup 7/1/25 currently has a delay in pickup, and residents will see collection resumed first thing in the morning Wednesday, 7/2/25

The rural Northern Cedar Falls/Southern Waterloo residential route is running behind due to weather. Friday collection will be completed Monday, March 10, 2025.

Due to the weather, the Black Hawk County Landfill will be closed March 4, 2025 causing some delays in our route collections.

At this time, the delays that will be caused are unknown and will depend on the weather conditions. We will be collecting as many customers as we are able to, weather permitting.

3/5/24 Update – Several of our routes have delays, we will be resuming collection tomorrow.

Our Residential Fayette, Westgate, rural Oelwein residential route is running behind today. Any residents not picked up today, will resume pickup tomorrow, January 23, 2025.
